  Guangxi University was founded in 1928. The first principal was Dr. Ma Junwu, praised as the Grandmaster by Premier Zhou Enlai.    The University has one state key laboratory, one provincial key laboratory, one national-level international science and technology cooperation base, two key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, two engineering research centers, two collaborative innovation centers, one national and regional research base, one key laboratory of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and a number of national and ministerial scientific research platforms.  All positions are established by public Institution and authorized strength, and the salary does not include housing provident fund and social insurance paid by the university, about 40,000-80,000 yuan per year. Doctoral supervisor allowance is about 24,000 yuan per year before tax.

 The university arranges for on-campus housing to be rented, with dormitory of 110 square meters for high-level talents, 80 square meters for professors, 60 square meters for associate professors and 40 square meters for assistant professors. The rent is 2-3 yuan per square meter per month.
